AMS 6532 is known for its excellent toughness and ductility, in addition to its strong resistance to stress corrosion. The alloy can be normalized by heating to 1650°F, then holding for one hour, before being air cooled to room temperature. AMS 6532 applications include structural tubing, ballistic tolerant components, and actuators.
