L-605

L-605 is a non-magnetic cobalt based superalloy characterized by outstanding high temperature strength up to 2150°F.

The alloy is comprised of 50% cobalt, 20% chromium, 15% tungsten, and 10% nickel.

L-605 maintains excellent oxidation resistance up to up to 1900° F and it is highly resistant to corrosion caused by hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and wet chlorine.

L-605 is the strongest of the formable cobalt alloys and its incredible resistance to marine environments, acids and body fluids make it perfect for applications such as gas turbine engine combustion chambers and afterburners, springs, valves, and high temperature ball bearings.
