AMS 5644 chromium-nickel-aluminum steel characterized by high strength and commonly found in a variety of springs and washers. The alloy features excellent hardness and a moderate level of corrosion resistance up to 600˚F. AMS 5644 applications include fittings, fasteners, and encapsulated bellows.
