AMS 5966 is generally used for applications up to about 1650°F (900°C). The alloy features great intermediate temperature tensile ductility, and while it is not as strong as Waspaloy, it is easier than form and weld than Waspaloy. AMS 5966 is commonly used in aircraft turbine engine applications.
